    according to these benchmarks the geforce 7600 is better than the x1600, the 7600 on the zepto is a 512mb version, but i was led to believe the x1600 was marginally better than the 7600, but here it seems the 7600 on the zepto is better by quite a large margin. Can these benchmarks be trusted? can any owners of these cards prove/disprove these benchmarks?

    thx

    The X1600 is the faster card.

    the difference is only between 1280x1024 and 1280x768, is that enough for 20fps?

    1024x768 --> 1280x1024 is a huge jump, so yes.

    The samsung they don't say what the gfx core is clocked at, they do however say that the zepto is at 450mhz core clock which make it pretty powerful, in general the x1600 willbe slightly faster then the 7600go but I don't think it should keep you from getting either of hte units they should both game well enough for laptops.

    Unless they are using the exact same resolution, then the benchmarks are not comparable. 1280x768 is the widescreen version of XGA. Going from that to SXGA is still a fairly large difference.
    'Nuff said. As long as you have an X1600 or Go7600, you'll have a great gaming experience.

    1st thing, different manufacturer clocks their GPU differently, Zepto has a faster clocked GPU. Samsung, in the other hand likes their laptops to be cooler, hence maybe they underclocked the GPU, not just to lessen heat, and also it promotes battery life. If they r clocked at recommended speed, i believe they will be equally fast.
