Hello :)! I was just wondering if anyone has any 3dmark scores or benchmarks for the 7600 go and what it is like versus the x1600 as i'm deciding between the compal hel80 and the asus z96j.

    Thanks :)

    mastha212,

How did you manage 3DMark scores so high? Did you overclock? I have seen scores about 4000 in 3dMark05 and 2000 in 3dMark06 for the W3J

I don't think Mastha's x1600 scores are typical, so don't expect scores quite that high. From what I've seen, x1600's score between 3600-4300 in 3dmark05 and 1900-2300 in 3dmark06.

My Go 7600 (slightly overclocked) scores about 3900 in 3dmark05 and 2240 in 3dmark06 which are typical scores for a 7600.

Either card will run pretty much any game at high settings. Only games my 7600 struggles with on high settings are Oblivion, Ghost Recon:AWF and F.E.A.R. (actually Fear does pretty well on mostly high).

Half-Life 2, Counter-Strike:Source, BF2, all run beautifully at high resolution & high settings.

@ mastha212: Argh! How did you do that, especially with only 1Gb RAM and a relatively mid-range CPU? Would you be as kind as to post your GPU's current mem/core frequencies? :) That's an awesome result.

The Go 7600 512MB is frigging amazing. Oh my God.

I haven't played Oblivion; the only game I've tried on here that really pushed the machine has been F.E.A.R. which topped out at 1024x768 (mostly high settings), and I could probably get that to native with some tweaking.

My external runs at 1680x1050, and it's only on there do I start to see the limits with games. But for what it's worth, Doom 3 runs at Ultra at 1680x1050, Quake 4 runs at Medium at 1680x1050, and Far Cry runs at 1440x900 on mostly Very High settings (one of the games where the detail settings are far more important than the resolution).

The Go 7600 is obscene and just fine for most gamers.

    Hi
My mem/core was 510/510 and it was with some Omega's 6.5 or something. Now I have ATI's Catalyst 6.7 and the scores are about the same. To OCing I use ATI Tool 0.25 beta 10. My score is preety high I guess, I think I can break 4,9k in 05 & 2,5k in 06 when Omega's based on Catalyst 6.7 will be release.
