Why is it they can't put the 7700 as an option for all 15.4 notebooks (I'm looking at you Asus). They fit it in the ASUS A8 Series A8JS and thats a 14"!! Because of this i have to choose between a 14" and a 17" cuz i can't afford the G1.

Take a look at the Asus F3JP (15.4" screen), it's using an x1700 which will perform very similar to the go7700 but is much cheaper (around $1400-1500).

Or the F3Jv, which uses the 512MB go7600 and (at least on the Australia Pacific models I've seen) has a WSXGA+ display.

7700 go only exists in asus notebooks.

It only exists in the a8js, g1p and the vx2

2 of those are 15.4 inch

Have you considered buying the F3Jp or the F3Jv instead? They don't have the go 7700 but the difference isn't really that far in performance. Plus, you get a lower price and the specific screen size you desire. Which games do you often play anyway?

they didnt make a f3j with the 7700 go because it competes directly with the g1 too much. If thats what you are looking for...

Also they did make the vx2 for europe, its basically what we have the v1j with a 7700 go. If you have 3k to import one it does exist.
