Seems like these days my 7900gs is running a bit hot. Sits idle(just me surfing the internet) with fans on high at 62 celsius and heats all the way up to 91 celsius when I'm playing WoW. Is this normal?

Temperatures are a little hot. I would just make sure that no dust is clogging the vents up. After even a few months of good use, alot of duast can accumalate in the fans and underside vents. For more information, have a look at the Cooling Guide.

As mentioned, you'll want to clean out the vents. I recommend using canned air to achieve the best results.

What type of surface is your notebook sitting on for reference? I found that with my notebook, some surfaces make it get hotter than others, such as wood and plastic.

You might want to invest in a notebook cooler. They're basically a pad that you put your laptop on. The pad has fans in it, so it directs warm air away from your laptop and can help to lower temperatures by up to 10 degrees C.

I'm not an expert in this area, so some other people might want to chime in. I know Targus makes some, and I also hear they're pretty effective.

thats seems ok, my 7800GTX in my notebook goes up to 90C degrees while playing 3D intensive games for more than an hour.

Make sure it never reaches 100. ;)

I would clean out your vents first, that can make a HUGE difference.

I usually put it on top of a book that doesn't block the vents to keep the warmth off my legs. But I just cleaned my fans out and that seemed to make a 10 degree difference.
