Hey everybody.... just wanna ask the pros (cause i'm newbie to this stuff) if it's worth to buy a laptop w/ 8600 go cards, or if it's worthy to buy one with the 7950gtx (like the sager 5760).....

Is it going to be the DX10 capability the only advantage of the 8600, in face of the 7950??

For playing FSX, which one of then is more apropriated???

So, should i buy a notebook w/ the 7950gtx, or one with the 8600????

The main use is for a gaming notebook.....

    Thanks....

Have a look here i which 8600? I think the only thing that 8600 has on the 7950gtx is that is Dx10 and will be able to play DX 10 designed games better?
The 7950gtx i think will beat it by quite a little bit in dx9 games etc but i would probably say go for a 8600

8600 is just going to be Dx 10, as well as available on a 15.4" so you can go down to 15.4" but have a huge gaming increase, from 7600 to 8600 which is under the 7900GS.
If you can it'd be best to wait in a few months the 8800 should be released for notebooks which would be great to have instead of the 7950GTX.

For FSX I think 8600 would be better since FSX will get a Dx10 patch and you can play it with that.

but when do you think the 8800 GO will be released??

And most important, how much more do you think it will cost, from the 7950gtx??

the GO 8600 will be released with Santa Rosa. You just have to wait for notebooks that use them to come out. Currently there are some that will be released in May.

It should be cheaper than the 7950GTX, personally I think you should get it only if you're going to get a 15.4" gaming notebook instead of a 17" which can get the 8800 by the end of the year

I'd get the 8600 because it should be a decent gpu with dx10 whereas the 7900gtx is a very good gpu but only has dx9 capabilities.

MilestonePC has the C90 on their website with a 512MB Geforce Go 8600GT, so it will probably be released really soon.

So it is better to buy a 8600 GO than the 7950gtx???

But do you think the GO 8600 will be available to 17" notebooks??

It's very likely and if you're willing to wait for a little longer, 17" notebooks with an 8800 go will probably start showing up.
