This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     7970M FPS locking down...

    Don't know if this is the right place to post this...

    Anyway I've got an Alienware M17x R4 with a 7970M, and my FPS in EVERYTHING, whether it be a game or benchmark, stays at 45. It's pretty annoying when I know a fair few of the games I play can be pushed up to 60 on this yet everything is being capped.

    I do have V-Sync disabled, even forced off in Catalyst. I've tried multiple iterations of Catalyst too and none of them change it.

    Anyone else have crap like this going on? :/
