Is anyone running a 7970M and playing Tera Online want to chime in on its performance in this game? I am thinking about swapping out my 660M laptop for a 7970M if this game runs better with it.

tera runs bad on anything right now. i get about 50-90 fps in the game maxed when i should be getting even more. The UI being on causes the game to run 20% slower, enmasse is looking into it. In cities i get 40 to 50 fps, turning off the UI i get 80+. Bad game coding, hope they fix it soon.

Well I have no issues with either of my Nvidia setups with the game nor does the UI make any fps difference being on or off, so it appears to be an AMD problem and thats what I was wanting to know. No reason for me to get the 7970 if theres issues with the main game I play.

Might be AMD issues, I have a 580m and run it maxed out, it sits at 60 FPS vsync most of the time.

Or rather Tera's developer simply not putting in equal time in optimizing for AMD hardware?

Well my question pertains to AMD 7970M and its performance/issues with Tera not Nvidia because I have no issues with playing it with nvidia except I am tapping out my 660M's performance. I get an average of 45+fps at 1080p max settings and I was hoping the 7970M would put me over 60fps most of the time, but if there's AMD driver issues still with this game then there's no need. BTW Halogod that 3dmark 11 score is impressive as hell for a laptop, over twice the performance of my 660M, just want to make sure that it equates to the actual games I play.

Thats why I prefer to buy my GPUs from Nvidia which have a big driver team that work with the game companies :)
