    Review Alienware M18x R2 Notebook - Notebookcheck.net Reviews

This shows that the 7970m crossfire is good and a game like battlefield 3 improved by double the fps and crysis 2 improved by a big chunk compared to a single 7970m. Overall though optimisations need to be made.

161-294 Watts during the 3DMark 06 benchmark is less then its older 40nm predecessor card which took 183-316 watts.

In 2 years time I hope we can get one of the 7970m gpu / even 680m perfromance in a 100w system or even better 80w. If nvidia maxwell performs anywhere near as good as they say it will then who knows 70w laptops with 14nm quad cores and 22nm maxwell may perform similar to 160w systems these days.

Overall though 7970m crossfire can game better then a desktop gtx 680 and i7 mobile holds its own to the desktop cpu's. Who says laptops can't game and I know laptops are more expensive.
