Here's my specs:
1.6 ghz C2D
1 gig RAM (soon to be 2)
8400 GS(obviously)
On stock drivers i got a 1450. I just downloaded the 163.44 drivers that i will install tomorrow. I'll try to OC a little and report back with my updated scores later.
-
2.0 c2d cpu
2 gb memory
5400 rpm hdd
Using 165.01 drivers I get 1552 -
ok i installed my drivers(163.44) but i now i can't OC
I got a 1550 something but i'm gonna uninstall it and see if i can find drivers that'll let me OC
-
Under XP, with 163.44 drivers and no oc'ing I get 1608
-
woud'nt happen to be running any of these on the sony VAIO SZ series would you??
-
I'm getting 732 - very bad - even with the latest drivers. Somthing is wrong - anyone got any ideas?
-
I get 1272 with no OC on 169.09 nvidia drivers. I see others in forum have got much higher with stock.
System spec - T7500 2.2Ghz
1 GB Ram
Vista
17" laptop
I am very new to all of this. Does the screen size have any factor in determining the 3dmark06 scores ? What could be reason that i get a low score compared to others? -
-
Just flashed my BIOS and installed DirectX 9c Nov release - I'm now hitting the 1300s....Still got more to go!

I can't install any damn drivers other than the stock files.
When i do, I either get a black screen or a damn "Drivers_IRQL" BSOD!
Grr! -
hy !!
Hi got a 1823 score with my Dell Vostro 1400 (8400M GS 128 DDR3, C2D T7250 2Ghz, 2Go) with the 174.31 Driver and an Oc at 648/848 (thx RivaTuner ^^)
I think it's a good score equal to a 6800/6800 GT ^^ -
Mine hited 2052 in 3Dmark06...OCed ofcourse and all settings at default
-
Mine was with T7500 but only made as high as 1450.
Looks like a Dell is more powerful than a similar HP. -
I got about 1670 w/no over clock. However I have tweaked the driver config a bit. (Ver 169.09)
Peak temp 95 degrees -
one hell of a score i think from Guizmo...i am downloading the driver to try it out!
I have no idea what are you guys setting. But I always set 1440x900 as resolution, because this is my standard display i use..
drivers : 169.04
OC : 525 / 600 / 1200
Vostro1400
C2D T7500 2.2G
2gb ddr2 667mhz
250gb 5400rpm HD
nv 8400m gs 128mb ddr3
my maxed out temperature during the 3dmark06 is around 87 degrees C (HWmonitor) -
I'm going to give those same drivers a go this weekend, we'll see...
EDIT: Oh, wait a sec, core OC @648...??? Well, if he really managed to get his GPU to run at that speed (stock being 400MHz...), then hats off to him and let's see how many hours of gaming he'll get out of it before it explodes in flames, lol -
I get about 1664, but can get 1685 with oc, but it seems that is all I get no matter how hard I push it. I have gone as far as 800 but i get nothing more from it. Any ideas?
Update:After finding a driver that would oc I was able to get 2378 with an oc of 550/1300/485. At least I think that was the settings. I still need to take some time to fine tune it to see if I can get any more out of it. If you want to know the driver it was 169.04 with a modded INF -
New high: 2489
OC: 650/1600/485
Temp:64
I never thought I would see the day. -
EIN502: Very nice.. Whats the stock clock settings for our card? Also do you notice much improvment in gaming?
Im downloading 3dmark right now. Gonna give OC a go -
-
Stock clock was:
Core-400
Shader-800
Mem-400
I still need to play some games to see what the difference is. As of now I am still setting my new lappy up and don't have much in means of games. I do have Oblivion so I will have to see if this had any effect on it. One of my main games is still ET when I get this up. I still need to try the new ET on it. I will see what I can do and get back to you. -
In ET at normal setting (meaning I did not change anything after install) I hit 180fps normal oc I get 250. These numbers represent me just standing still, no running around or interacting with others. Now to test Oblivion.
-
Can anyone confirm if 174.51 can OC with rivatuner?
Edit: According to the latest RivaTuner 2.08. It now supports GeForce
9600 GT & ForceWare 174.xx -
Oblivion got me some interesting numbers. Stock medium detail 1280 by 800 gave me 16-18 fps while oc same settings I got 29-31. Now these were just standing there at the beginning. To really play I think I would have to turn down the resolution and some settings. For fun I turned on everything I could and put everything to max. Somehow I was getting 2 fps.
-
Wow thats quite good, 10fps more but you do have quite a good OC
What was your max gpu temps with & without the OC? Also can you tweak your fan speed with Rivatuner? I know for desktops you can -
174.53 did not work and I an still new to Riva Tuner and I know know all of its settings. I am still looking into what it can do. I still need to do some temp. tests, but oc and Oblivion got my gpu to 68 I still need to see what my normal full load temp is as well as how high the temps will go up with extended playing. When I have more time I will let you know what I find. Let me know if you have and luck.
-
Okay i just loaded rivatuner and my stock clocks are 400/800/600
?
which is weird because everyone elses stock memory clock is 400mhz
Anyone know why mine is 200mhz more? Also GPU showed the same figures before i installed rivatuner -
Could it be that you have a better version of the card. I thought there were supposed to be two different RAM versions.
-
Im only getting 1092 points on 3dmark 1280x800 weird..
-
Had that problem but my score was less then 500. Make sure you uninstall any driver from before, restart then install the new one and restart again. I hope this helps.
-
Gonna give 174.31 a go when i get home. Benchmark it then try to OC. Also gonna use drivesweeper to clean the old drivers out
-
-
mys vostro 1500 OC to 600/1200 with 174.31 got 1850 3dmark06... awesome.. now i can play crysis without lag.. (low/med of course)...
-
Here's a image of all the Driver/Benchmark ... !
There's only 2 driver that im able to overclock with (167.26 and 169.04 )
All the reste im not able to do so
Here's the list :Attached Files:

1767 with some oc'ing temps are ~95 degrees O.O. stock is 1507 but heck why is my vostro 1400 still hitting ~90 degrees under gaming. even in low demanding games such as Wow
