I get 1272 with no OC on 169.09 nvidia drivers. I see others in forum have got much higher with stock.

    System spec - T7500 2.2Ghz
    1 GB Ram
    Vista
    17" laptop

I am very new to all of this. Does the screen size have any factor in determining the 3dmark06 scores ? What could be reason that i get a low score compared to others?

    hy !!

    Hi got a 1823 score with my Dell Vostro 1400 (8400M GS 128 DDR3, C2D T7250 2Ghz, 2Go) with the 174.31 Driver and an Oc at 648/848 (thx RivaTuner ^^)

    I think it's a good score equal to a 6800/6800 GT ^^

Wow, that's pretty high for this card with T7250.

Mine was with T7500 but only made as high as 1450.

Looks like a Dell is more powerful than a similar HP.

    drivers : 169.04
    OC : 525 / 600 / 1200

    Vostro1400
    C2D T7500 2.2G
    2gb ddr2 667mhz
    250gb 5400rpm HD
    nv 8400m gs 128mb ddr3

Something's odd about that score, I don't think Dell's implementation of the 8400 is any better than the next camp.

I'm going to give those same drivers a go this weekend, we'll see...

EDIT: Oh, wait a sec, core OC @648...??? Well, if he really managed to get his GPU to run at that speed (stock being 400MHz...), then hats off to him and let's see how many hours of gaming he'll get out of it before it explodes in flames, lol :p

I get about 1664, but can get 1685 with oc, but it seems that is all I get no matter how hard I push it. I have gone as far as 800 but i get nothing more from it. Any ideas?

Update:After finding a driver that would oc I was able to get 2378 with an oc of 550/1300/485. At least I think that was the settings. I still need to take some time to fine tune it to see if I can get any more out of it. If you want to know the driver it was 169.04 with a modded INF

Installing any driver after 169.04, and you will not be able to overclock your 8400M GS. I personally use 169.28 and have had great success with it. It raised my WES graphics score by .6, the most out any driver that I have used and installed yet.

    Stock clock was:
    Core-400
    Shader-800
    Mem-400

I still need to play some games to see what the difference is. As of now I am still setting my new lappy up and don't have much in means of games. I do have Oblivion so I will have to see if this had any effect on it. One of my main games is still ET when I get this up. I still need to try the new ET on it. I will see what I can do and get back to you.

In ET at normal setting (meaning I did not change anything after install) I hit 180fps normal oc I get 250. These numbers represent me just standing still, no running around or interacting with others. Now to test Oblivion.

The other user just said he OC'ed with 174.31

Can anyone confirm if 174.51 can OC with rivatuner?

Edit: According to the latest RivaTuner 2.08. It now supports GeForce
    9600 GT & ForceWare 174.xx

Oblivion got me some interesting numbers. Stock medium detail 1280 by 800 gave me 16-18 fps while oc same settings I got 29-31. Now these were just standing there at the beginning. To really play I think I would have to turn down the resolution and some settings. For fun I turned on everything I could and put everything to max. Somehow I was getting 2 fps.

Wow thats quite good, 10fps more but you do have quite a good OC

What was your max gpu temps with & without the OC? Also can you tweak your fan speed with Rivatuner? I know for desktops you can

174.53 did not work and I an still new to Riva Tuner and I know know all of its settings. I am still looking into what it can do. I still need to do some temp. tests, but oc and Oblivion got my gpu to 68 I still need to see what my normal full load temp is as well as how high the temps will go up with extended playing. When I have more time I will let you know what I find. Let me know if you have and luck.

Okay i just loaded rivatuner and my stock clocks are 400/800/600 o_O?

which is weird because everyone elses stock memory clock is 400mhz

Anyone know why mine is 200mhz more? Also GPU showed the same figures before i installed rivatuner

Could it be that you have a better version of the card. I thought there were supposed to be two different RAM versions.
