Hi all,
This is my first post here yayBut ive been reading the forums for a while now. So firstly hi to everyone
![]()
I recently got a MSI EX700 which has the 8400M GS in it.
Ive been trying to overclock it but it just doesnt seem to work. Ive used RivaTuner and Nvidia monitor but nothing works.
When i change the timings from 400/400 to 450/500 nothing actually changes. It says the system is overclocked however using an actual monitor the mem or core speed neither changes.
If i click accept then ok on rivatuner it simply reverts back to 400/400 (not that it was any higher once i click accept on OC).
Does anyone know how i can fix this?
Anyone else had this problem?
Can post screenshots if needed
Thanks all
Chris

ok so why dont you give AtiTool Works Great for me i overclocked my 8600M GT from Core 450 to 575 easily

are you on stock drivers? I know a lot of my fellow 8400 owners haven't been able to OC if they installed 16x.xx drivers and then try to go back to older versions.
