    what is the difference between 8400M-G and 8400M-GS?

    The 8400m G has half the stream processors of the 8400m GS. Both are mid-range cards according to Chaz's Mobile Graphics Card page, though the 8400m G is not listed.

    I'll add the 8400M-G into the chart at some point. The 8400M-GS is a middle-range card, nothing spectacular, although it's better than the X1400/Go7400.

    According to the 3DMark06 benchmarks gulii posted, there is quite a difference between the cards.
