    can someone tell why nvidia web site say its better to get the video drive from hp.com
    cause on hp web site the latest vision is 7.15.11.5665 A Current 11-2007 261.04M
    is it the same as 169.04 drive
    or is it better to update the drive from hp since i have an hp dv6500t se

    It depends a little on what graphic card you have and what's more important to you; speed or stability.

    The versions that come via notebook manufacturers are thoroughly tested and stable with your system, but they usually are already outdated when they come out and don't always deliver the maximum performance, especially with the latest video cards.

    I always grab my Nvidia drivers from laptopvideotogo.com , but some of them aren't always the most stable ones for my particular system. Just a matter of a little testing and reading the threads and forums on the website.

    Anyway, the ones you have aren't the same as the 169.04 drivers, i think there the 156.65 version so there way older then that.
