    Yes, I played JUST FINE with a nvidia 6800, but decided to upgrade to an 8600 GTS OC2(125$ on tigerdirect) if you havent boughten that gfx yet, though really the thing is the other specs too, FPS is between mostly CPU and GPU. RAM is just a dur lol... list your other specs and we can totally see if your safe

    Its for a premade comp my brother may get, and no he doesnt want to bother putting one together - he just wants to play games like cod 4 and cod 2.

    I could play CoD4 on my brothers inspiron with the 8400m GS with everything on low. You should be able to also. Maybe with a couple of things on normal, and a relatively low res.

    Get the 8600 GT. It's much more powerful.

    If it's a premade computer, order it without a GPU or with the lowest option, and then install an 8600 GT.

    You'll be wasting a ton of money buying it premade. For 1k, you can get an 8800 equipped system easy.

    Yeah, I have configured a Dual Core, 2 GB of RAM, 8800 GT, 500 GB HD Vostro after coupons for my friend for only $699.
