Guys with a new computer and a 8500 gt could i play cod 4?
-
Yes, I played JUST FINE with a nvidia 6800, but decided to upgrade to an 8600 GTS OC2(125$ on tigerdirect) if you havent boughten that gfx yet, though really the thing is the other specs too, FPS is between mostly CPU and GPU. RAM is just a dur lol... list your other specs and we can totally see if your safe

Its for a premade comp my brother may get, and no he doesnt want to bother putting one together - he just wants to play games like cod 4 and cod 2.
Processor Type AMD Phenom 9500 Quad-Core
Processor Speed 2.2GHz
RAM 3072MB PC2-5300 DDR2
Hard Drive 640GB 7200RPM -
OFFtopic : Woa, that`s a huge sig.You may have to change it , Evoxbeck ...

I could play CoD4 on my brothers inspiron with the 8400m GS with everything on low. You should be able to also. Maybe with a couple of things on normal, and a relatively low res.
EDIT: ya that sig is huge.. -
Get the 8600 GT. It's much more powerful.
If it's a premade computer, order it without a GPU or with the lowest option, and then install an 8600 GT. -
Well its this comp from futureshop - i know i know my brother wants to buy one premade and not to mess around with anything.

You'll be wasting a ton of money buying it premade. For 1k, you can get an 8800 equipped system easy.
-
Yeah, I have configured a Dual Core, 2 GB of RAM, 8800 GT, 500 GB HD Vostro after coupons for my friend for only $699.
