Is there any sign of Asus going to replace the DDR2 with the GDDR3 version?

Does anyone know if the 8600GT that comes with the Dell XPS 1530 is DDR2 or is it possible that it might by some miracle be DDR3?

The Geforce 8600M GT in the Dell XPS M1530 is DDR3 and quite overclockable.

The 1530 is DDR3. The Inspirons and Vostros have DDR2.

So, which of the two (asus M51 and Dell xps 1530) would provide better game performance? Given their specifications have same cpu and memory.

If they are really close, are there any other reasons to prefer one over another?

Need some suggestion to make up my mind :) Thanks.
