Someone was on the Tosibia site and saw the 205 with 8600 gt in sli configuration. How good a set up for gaming. Are you better off getting one 8700 or 2 8600gt sli ?

SLI = more heat and power consumption, just so you know...

    So louder fans probably.

Depends on the game. Sli causes headaches lately. Airborne runs slower in SLI then it does in single card mode. It's a problem with the UE3 engine. Personally, I don't think I'd bother - batterly life lower, increased heat, power consumption...

    I would opt for a single 8700M-GT over two 8600M-GT's SLI'd.

And vista SLI drivers are still not up to snuff. I'd also go for the 8700M GT.

your not guarenteed 100% peformance increase which will never be the case, your paying for two cards but only getting say half the performance out of one.

SLI doesn't work in Half-Life 2 based games.
