Hi I just bought an MSI gx700x and wondered if I can play Test drive unlimited on it, and on what config. My config is: core 2 duo 2ghz, 2GB 667Mhz ram, 160GB 5400Rpm HDD, 8600GT 512Mb (dont know if ddr2 or 3), 17" 1440*900 screen. Can I play it in 1440*900 and on what detail frames if somebody know pls write it here. I really like the game but dont want spend money for something what will be unplayable on my lappy. THX

Seriously, the 8600M GT can handle any game out there right now. I guarantee it WILL run, but I don't know how well.

I have a 256 DDR2 in my 1520 and it runs very well. If you get the 512, which I think is DDR2....I know it will outperform the one I have so..

Well the only game I have played with the HDR Rendering option is Splinter Cell Double Agent. I played at I believe 1280x720 resolution, the highest and all other settings highest. This game is a bad example, though, because a lot of people know/agree that Double Agent for the PC was terribly coded and it's almost like Halo 2. Chaos Theory looks basically better in most areas and it runs VERY well with the 8600M GT.

I also play Command and Conquer 3 on ULTRA HIGH, 1440x900 resolution just fine. The game is capped at 30FPS and I get around 25.

I have also played Halo 2, which runs perfectly....

F.E.A.R. runs on max settings really well. It only slows down after it saves game....meaning it takes a while for the slowdown to go away.
