    8600GT 512mb not showing up in C90 Laptop

    Hey, I just bought an ASUS C90. I installed the graphics card and booted the computer and it won't recognize the card. Only the onboard video. I've since tried to reinstall it and still no luck. Any suggestions?

    Check the BIOS maybe you have to enable the video card slot or maybe theres a setting for it.

    its detecting some sort of video device because there is a driver for it on the CD

    THere is only one gpu. You just need the right drivers

    yee it should be recognized with the right drivers a screenshot(prt scr key on key board and paste in to paint and save as a Jpeg)

    Since the notebook will not runton without the gpu in it, im 99% its drivers.

    so where is the driver? i used the one off the default disks, but it didnt update the 8600? what do i need to do
