I'm trying to decide between buying the ASUS F3SV with the 8600M or the ASUS G1S with the GT version.

I'm going to be mainly working in graphics programs and Architectural cad programs, of which probably 30% of the time will be doing 3d modelling.

Is there a big difference between the two GPU's for my intended use.
I've looked around this forum a bit and it seems most discussion seems to be towards gaming performance.

    Can someone provide some advice?

    Cheers

You may want to look into the Quadro cards for CAD purposes. But between those two, the GT will offer a little more performance.

With what you'll be doing, defintely go with the GT, but as Kgann said, the Quadro's will be a better choice for you/
