    ive got a GeForce 8600M GS 512Mb with that turbocache tecnology on my Acer Aspire 7520G. When i bought the laptop, there was vista installed, but i have formatted it n made it work with winxp. Its all fine with my hardware now, the only problem - i cant find a proper video driver for winxp. Im using 156.73 version now and i got some problems in games: some of em dont even launch n get crashed @ the startup, some of em got kinda slo-mo animation when playin so its kinda f***** up. I cant find any related topic or a driver to download. I wud appreciate your help if u can just gimme the link to dl the proper driver and an inf file to make my new laptop work. THanks in advance.

    Ive downloaded 169.09 version with the modified inf file - didnt help. Splinter cell still got slo-mo things when crysis runs fine. Idk what to do.. UP

    and what about game's updates? what settings for the games do you use? what res? basically gs might have problems with shadows intensive splinter cell :D

    Have you installed the windows xp multicore hotfix? I've seen similar symptoms in games and I found installing it cured them. That and/or using imagecfg to set the game to run on one core.
