I have my clock at 700/560 using rivatuner on a dell inspiron 1520 8600M GT (DDR2 - base is 475/400). I'm getting no artifacts and 5200+ on 3dmark06. I think this is way higher than the normally stable 600/500. My temperature doesn't exceed 60 C with fan running at 80%. Is this okay to keep as a config? Is there any gpu stress testing (other than 3dmark06) I can use to make sure its stable? I'm worried that I've clocked it too high.

700? wow, thats a huge core clock for this card

i think im going to take the plunge and see if it makes a diff. I think that these newer 8600gt cards are being made different than the older ones, the clocks on them are just different

I'm using the 169 Forceware drivers. Hmm, I wonder if OCing the computer cpu would put up 3dmarks... and I think I'll keep the 700 clock. I've seen noticeable improvement from 600/500 -> 700/560 (about 400 extra marks) so I believe its worth it.
