    i've googled for a while looking for the newest 8600M GT driver, and got a bunch of mixed results. i was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction :) i would greatly appreciate it

    169.04 .. probably most used drivers.. good for ocing too

    I can second that, I used 169.04 when I was still running XP. When I switched to those drivers, my 3dmark06 score jumped from 3200 OC'd to almost 4100 OC'd...not too shabby (I have the DDR2 card).

    I downloaded these and tried to install them but was told that the installer could not find the graphics card. Not sure why.

    Did you download the modded INF and replace the existing one with it?

    Ermm can you say that again in English?

    Not really a tech head i can fix most problems on a computer (because i cause them) but have no idea when it comes to graphics cards.

    1. To Download - driver: Click Here.

    2. Download - Modded inf - laptopvideo2go.com Click Here.

    3. Replace old inf - with the new inf - From: laptopvideo2go.com

    4. Have Disk Method: Click Here

    5. Finally Click here to finalize the process.

    EDIT: Instruction have been simplified to minimize (down to keywords) confusions.
