Hey there guys, I'm particularly asking for some help to get better frame rates with Age of Conan.

Computer specs are in the sig.

Currently I get about 20-30 FPS on average.
on "good" days(once or twice) 40fps.
Also, in AoC, Low and Medium texture qualities are bugged, so the game runs best on high texture qualities, etc.
Only thing that really bothers me is that in an instance, i get about 130fps...lol. Doesn't seem like it should drop from 130 to 20, eh?

Anyway, i know updating drivers will help... So to the point:

To be honest, I'm a little new at installing drivers... at least beta and forceware...

It seems that on the actual NVIDIA website there are no driver updates for the 8600m GT.

I'm basically looking for the most compatible drivers, that won't screw up watching dvds and videos, that will also boost my FPS in Age of Conan.

As far as SLI goes, I'm just curious as to which setting i should use.
Split Frame Rendering or Alternate Frame Rendering?

    Thanks!

alright, like i said im used to having an install wizard do everything, and i know doing this incorrectly can screw stuff up.

do i have to manually delete my old drivers first or will the installer do it for me?

sorry for being a noob :)

yea. go to device manager, then to your display adapter, then uninstall it, after that download driver sweeper and use it to remove the old driver left overs, then install your new driver

    Use this guide.

    My personal steps:
Control Panel - Uninstall Nvidia Drivers
    Restart
    Run Driver Cleaner Pro
Restart (don't know if this is necessary, just do it as a precaution I suppose)
Install new drivers (look under the link to see a guide for different drivers)

its not risky, it will just defualt to the manufacturer drivers, so you will still have a display. Just follow the steps in our driver sticky at the top of the graphics page and it will be fine.

EDIT: Dire has got the link^ use it :)
