    Hi,

Im new to 3DMark and overclooking and such, but I just needed help interpretting the scores I got from 3DMark06. After running ever test using 1200x800, no anti-aliasing, Bilinear texture filtering I got the following results.

    3DMark Score 3999 3DMarks
    SM2.0 Score 1725
    HDR/SM3.0 Score 1620
    CPU Score 1284

    My system specs are:

    Dell 1520 Laptop
    Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 @ 2.00Ghz
    2048mb ram
    8600M GT 256MB DDR2 Ram
    Windows Vista Home Premium

Are the scores relatively good according to my system specs? Sometimes when I am running games such as call of duty 4 or team fortress 2 my fps drops drastically to like 5 after being at say 60 constant. I think it might be a heating issue but I am not sure. What kind of fps should I be getting in the above games at all low settings? I usually lose all fps when my comp gets hot at the sides. Would a laptop cooler help?

Also does anyone know a good overclocking setup for the card?

    Have a good day.
Thank you for all the help.

Yep, the score is what it should be :)

The stuttering effect of the 8600M GT is an infamous one, and has not been cured yet. Search the forum about the various threads on this subject.
Some say it`s the drivers, others say heat etc.

Monitor your temps with HWMonitor and Riva Tuner and see if they actually get beyond a certain threshold of say, 75 C for the GPU and CPU...
