    Hey Guys

I am in a serious situation and really dont know what to do. Im buying a new notebook but I cant decide which Graphics Card to get, the Nvidia 1500M seems better on paper than the 8600M, because it is 256bit and the 8600M GT is 128bit, but on the the other hand the 8600M GT is DirectX 10 and the 1500M is not. If someone can please tell me which part to go for and which one will have better performance in games, it would be appreciated and do you guys have any other recommendations for a mobile graphics card that offers good performance?

    Thanks!

The 1500M is going to be replaced with the 1600M soon.

1500M is a workstation card anyways...not as good for gaming. It's roughly equivalent to a Go 7900, and all the benchmarks for the new 8600GT put it as being very close to that exact card.

    Get the 8600.

As for workstation cards, I would assume the 570M be equivalent to the 8600 while the 1600M should be much more powerful? I could be wrong though.

The 1600M might be 8600GT whereas the 570M might be the 8600GS...not sure yet since those cards are so new.
