I plan on getting a PowerPro 10:15 Laptop from www.powernotebooks.com. I'm Torn between getting the T7500 and the T7700. I do plan on some gaming (Some strategy games, Half life games etc.) I tend to "multi task" while i game, such as instant messangers running, internet, music playing.

Im trying to decide if the $85 is worth the upgrade from the T7500 to the T7700? Would T7500 Bottleneck my PC any in terms of GFX/CPU? I plan on getting the 200 gig drive, 4 gigs of ram and the 1280x800 resolution moniter. I just want a clean smooth running comp and such when gaming and such with some multi tasking.

The video card is the bottleneck in all cases of either CPUs. So... it doesn't matter. Get the T7700 if you have the money to burn, it will handle more processes better

the difference is minimal between the 2 CPU's but the more the merry and the price difference is small as well.

That is a sweet machine you are planning to build. I agree with everyone else. You will not see much difference between the two processor speeds.

Well benchmark wise there is a difference.

Real world wise, depending on what the machine is for, you probably won't see a difference.

If you're not doing processor heavy tasks such as video encoding or recent RTS games then stick with the T7500.

te T7500 will serve you well. there used to be a debate on whether to pick T7300 or T7500 because of the large upgrade fee but now that prices have come down, it's normal to see T7300 as the base (as opposed to the T7100, which provides more than enough processing power in itself) so your getting a pretty good processor already. Save your $85!
