I'm a business guy who's looking to purchase a laptop to assist me at work, so primarily I will be using it to run office applications and surf the web, and the like. I'm well aware the 8400 GS is more than enough for this, however, I also have a strong gaming side when I get off work. I broke my desktop down and sold it for parts, so I'd like my laptop to be able to be able to handle both tasks.
Ideally, I'd be able to get a 14.1 or 13.3 inch screen with a card like the 8600GT or of comparable power... is that at all possible? I've searched around quite a bit, it looks like I'm going to be stuck with a hefty 15.4 incher in order to get the graphics capabilities I'm looking for.![]()
If anybody knows for sure one way or the other, thanks in advance for your input.
On a side note, most of the games I play are quake IV, cs:source, and games of the sort... I just want to be prepared for starcraft 2 and warhammer 40k when they come outWhat do you think: Would a 8400 be up to the task?

Zepto and ASUS has them, the Zepto is available now, the ASUS F8 has been announced, but no word on availability.

What about Dell? Don't want to MOD the most heavely used site on this site!! I would look at Dell!!

Their 14" only has the 8400GS.

Check out the 14 inch Zepto laptops, they are pretty powerful. But I don't know whether they ship to America/Canada.

Zepto doesn't ship to america but at this time it seems as they are looking for an american reseller:
