    At what settings can a 8600gt play bf2 in a inspriorn 1520, at smooth frame rates?

    highest. a little anti aliasing / af. any reasonable resolution. 1440x900.

    if you take down the resolution a little you should add a little more anti aliasing / anisotropic filtering

    you might want to play 4:3 because the 16:10 mode just cuts off your vertical field of view, rather than extending your view horizontally.

    so i might set a custom resolution of 1200 x 900 to use all of your vertical pixels but preserve a 4:3 image so you don't get a cropped picture.

    My battlefield 2 does not have any resolution other than 1024x768 available...
    How can I make it larger?

    What the HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a 8600gt in my inspiron 1520, and I can barely play on medium!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I'm playing all High with 8x AA @ 1280 x 960 (Strang res. i know)

    I'll update this posting after checking fps with fraps.

    Edit: I average 35fps.

    I think he might mean video card drivers. There is quite a difference between stock and drivers from say... laptopvideo2go.com.

    What is happening last week css on all high I got 90 fps, this week only 30,help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
