    8600m GS overclock ---> Take two

    So that was my post from 2008-ish.

    I have now upgraded Windows Vista to Windows 7, and my drivers from 169.04 to modified 185.85 from lv2go.

    Overclocked with Nvidia Control Panel with settings of
    700mhz core (400mhz stock)
    500mhz memory (450mhz stock)
    1500mhz shader (900mhz stock)

    at a resolution of 1280x800

    I have achieved a new score of 3759.
    Another 500points over my previous attempt, making around 1400points gained in total.

    Temperature was was at most 85-90c, in line with previous attempts noted above.

    With some more minor tweaking, I'm sure I may be able to increase it slightly more.

    I know it may be old news, but it gives hope to people with ancient 8600m GS like mine.

    Yeah those cards overclock like a wonder! (those which don't actually have heat issues) I'm still in love with mine even after almost 3 years :) got more than 1000 points increase from stock clocks aswell ^^
