Anybody here playing TW08? I just started playing it on my system at 1280 x 768 almost at max settings and runs really smooth and looks sharp. Only problem is, it's the only game that crashed my system as the video card heats up. Anybody know why this is?

Ahhhh I just went back to 158.45 so I could overclock which seems pretty useless now. 163.44 was good while I was using it I think I'll go back

Quick question on this. I installed it at the weekend, Dell Vostro 1500 with 8600 GT, and all settings on max it runs fine. Only problem is it looks a bit jaggy. Cant seem to find any AA options anywhere. Anyone else got this problem or a solution?

I haven't played this game, but if you want a less jaggy picture, why don't you decrease all the settings a bit and just increase the resolution? Or do you mean you already have the highest resolution with "all settings on max"?

yeah I already have it at max resolution. Its weird, went into advanced setting for video and no anti aliasing options anwhere. It deffo looks like its not turned on with jaggys pretty visible.

Ya I have the same issue. The advanced settings are very poor and the graphics are a bit jaggy.

Do you also notice the sun rays are very annoying at times?

This is the only game to have crashed my system - twice now. Both times I was playing for over an hour.

You can probably enable antialiasing through nvidia's console so that it looks better.

jb1007 are you using the latest drivers for the 8600? I have exactly the same machine as your sig but no crashes so far but that was before I updated to latest drivers last night. We take this game v seriously so I dont want any crashes mid match!!!
I think the sun effects are pretty cool actually, a bit overdone maybe. It looks at times like some fantasy role playing game with the rays shining through. One thing that is annoying is the transparent trees/branches when you are trying to play out of the trees. Some are so subtle you cant see them and end up hitting them.
We were playing this last night in multiplayer ofline and noticed some strange glitches with player 2. Every now and again the camera would fail to follow player 2's shot. It never happened to player 1.

With regards to the AA issue, will that really work going into the Nvid control pannel?

hey davek.. I'm using the 163.44 drivers. The two crashes were once during gameplay, and once on exit.

I've noticed a few glitches with the camera, i'm not sure if they are glitches but it I'll change the camera mid-shot to get a better view because sometimes it doesn't move off the tea.

If you change the global AA and put it on through nvidia's control panel, that should work. I'm going to try it now but in the end I need a better solution than that because I usually have AA off in all my other applications.

Just tried it with the 163.67 drivers... seems like the lighting has improved and the moving grass looks a bit better. No crashes so far :)

Thats good news dude. I think it would be worse than loosing a couple of hours work on Excel or Word if it crashed during a multiplayer match on the 18th where the scores are tied!! Expecially if there is money or beer involved :)

Agree about the AA options, I have it off on most games but this one is crying out for it
