I overclocked using the Nvidia software... the drivers i have allow for it i found out.
Right now its OC'd 533/771
-533(core) is reading yellow on NVmonitor... but the temps stay at 91 degrees at a peak.
-771(memory) is reading green... I noticed once i clock it to about 775 though its status turns yellow.
My temps stay between 75 and 91 at all times...
i read on another post that if the GPU overheats too much it lowers the clock...
So i guess this is why.
Im just wondering if its safe.

91 is bit high i think, you might want to search around of 85C. What are you 3dmark06 scores btw
-
to be honest, i havent been able to figure out how to use 3dmark06
as in where to get it. -
You can use gpuz or ati tool to monitor your clocks; are longs as your clocks arent downclocking youre fine.
-
can you give me a download link for GPUZ?
-
1) type "www.google.com" in your bar on top with the web adress in it. If you do not understand that there should be text saying "www.notebookreview.com....) up there.
2) A: in the box you can type in type "3dmark06 Download" and go to the Futuremark page and guide your self through to find a download location.
2) B: If you did not understand 2) use this way. Type "3dmark06 Major Geeks Download" into the box you can search in.
3) After downloading is complete the download window will be flashing
4) go to where you saved the installer file and double click it
5) click next and when asked if you would like to agree or disagree cilck the little circle by the agree button.
6) press next until there is a button saying finish
7) press the finish button
8) restart computer so you get better resualts (start and its the button with the red then click the green button after on the little window that appears)
9) Connect to internet
10) Open 3dmark06 and press run
11) Sit and do not touch anything while its running
12) Click the big orange button
13)your result is the one on the far right
Simple enough for you?Last edited by a moderator: May 8, 2015 -
When you get to google in the little box you type in you can type GPU Z. It is not very hard.
Good luck -
*sniff* *sniff* "you smell that?" "That's sarcasm!" LOL
