    8600m Gt windows update drivers ??..

    Just Recently i have installed 169.01 drivers from laptopvideo2go site and tonight windows update notification showed the 8600 m gt drivers in the updates which hasn't happen to me before , my current os is vista home premium ,anyone installed the windows update for the same vid card can tell me what driver # it is or maybe if it works with bioshock ?..

    Don't upgrade the drivers via Windows Update if you have already updated through 169.01.

    I believe the optimized drivers for Bioshock are 163.44 or later.

    yup Voodoo is right -163.44 are the 1st Bioshock ones.

    The windows update drivers are 156.69-older than you have and older than the first Bioshock drivers.

    Stick with yours-they run Bioshock :)
