i am going to buy thre HP DV9500t. In about a month it will have the 256 8600 gpu. How much will that card cost to upgrade when i am selecting the components for my laptop. I also get a student discount with them which is nice.

I would expect it to be about an extra $200, but you are not going to get anything better than a ball-parked guess.

You'll probably end up paying slightly more than what HP is charging for the GMA950 to Geforce Go 7600 upgrade in the dv9000t currently.
