I was looking at buying a dell notebook and was wondering if anyone had one with the 8600m gt card it and can tell we what the specs are on the card. I am looking for the core clock speed and the memory speed. I thought that i saw it was 400/ 400 some where, but when i look on the nvidia site it says it should be 475/700. And if you could tell me with this card with 2gigs of ram run directx 10 games decent?

    Thanks for the info.

    it's DDR2, 400/700 not GDDR3, which is 800/1400.

The new DX10 games (bioshock, Crysis) should run fairly well, at medium settings

we seriously need to make a thread that says, 1520 is DDR2, not GDdR3, so stop asking.

No offence, strikah, you just needed to know, but we get tired of people asking

Yeah, like Crimsonman said...the 8600M GT in the Inspiron 1520 is DDR2. It runs Bioshock just fine, even at 1440x900 resolution. I'm sure it will be able to handle Crysis at at least medium.
