I tested the card when i got it with the stock drivers, and it got 4.7 in both graphics and gaming graphics... then i fooled around with drivers, changed them a couple of times and settled on the latest beta, and i went back to retest and now for graphics its 3.4 and gaming graphics its 4.5 ...am i missing something? i thought these drivers were meant to have an improovement

WEI is a bad benchmark, esp. considering what is out there. Use 3DMark if you want to bench your graphics. Use PCMark if you want to bench your computer.

while it is stupid the causem might be that you have it set to power saver instead of performance

WEI isn't a bad benchmark, it's not even a benchmark to begin with :p So don't even pay any attention to it. Run 3dmark06 for an actual benchmark. Then if that appears lower than normal, see if you have the newest driver for the card.

Windows Experience Index is 100% based on driver strength. Obviously WEI doesn't like the new ones. Personally, artificial benchmarks mean nothing, it's all about the in-game performance/ quality.
