    Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum and own an ASUS F8Sv with 8600mGT (DDR2 or GDDR3 I duno lol...as long as it runs my games)

anyway, I've been testing this new laptop on 3 different games: Unreal Tournament 3 , CoD4 and Gears of War.

As expected from other threads, there's stuttering and in-game spikes... however after applying all the fixes people talk about and also reducing my graphics detail , although these games do not spike or lag anymore, there seems to be a significant sound stuttering, like when characters talk you could hear twitches in their voice.

*Edited: Sorry I forgot to mention the driver is 169.28

I'm using the newest audio driver from ASUS website... wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same voice stutter. Any comments will be appreciated, thanks.

PS: Owners with 8600mGT out there what graphics details can your UT3 run without lag?

Gears of War was a pretty POS port. It stutters and spikes all the time no matter how powerful your PC is. But I have not exprienced frame skipping in CoD4 with 169.04. If it's there at all, it's very minor.

    Thanks Arquis,

Well, all CoD4 and UT3 runs fine now...it's just the sound stutter that I'm having trouble with T_T
