I think the Clevo 570ru(Sager NP5790) and Clevo D900c(Sager 9260) are capable of having the 8700m(in d900c case it can have 2[SLI].

It's just an overclocked 8600GT...with good cooling you can effectively get the same results from the 8600GT.

    8600GT: 475MHz core, 1400MHz memory
    8700GT: 625MHz core, 1600MHz memory

It's the identical G84M core though.

There must be a much better thermal solution for the 8700 though as opposed to the 8600. I doubt you can overclock the 8600 to the full level of the 8700 without causing serious overheating or artifact problems. It is not just the speed of the card that has been changed. The bandwidth and other aspects have been upped a bit.

The bandwith is still the same as well (128bit). Instead it has "dual-ranked memory" which is from, what I can understand, that the memory modules run in dual-channel.

I guess they chose the uber quality of the 8600GT production line out.

And then OC'd it like hell. The TDP of the 8700M GT (35W) is higher than what can be supported in a 15" laptop.
