I have two 8700M GT (sli) and XP64 (clevo D901C).

    5 questions:
    1. can I use 1600M quadro driver for them?
    2. will I then have two true 1600M?
    3. where can I get that driver?
    4. can I get that driver even for XP64
    5. or is it better to install linux64, cause here drivers do exist?

    many thanks

    1. Yes
    2. No
    3. AFAIK, you'd have to mod it yourself. PM me for help, if you want.
    4. Yeah, you can get it for both XP and Vista x32 and x64.

huh, thanks for that quick reply!

    1. so, whats the difference between a true 1600M and a 8700M GT with quadro drivers?

edit: 2. so, will I benefit when doing 3D?
    thanks!

There is a hardware lock on the geforce cards which keeps them from accessing all of the quadro features. Google around for more technical details if you wish.

You'll still see a benefit in OpenGL workstation type apps, I'm pretty sure.
