come back to the race when you got a car bud...

I actually cannot create a reason as to why you are even comparing your 8800GTX to our notebooks, we all know it is better.

3NZO, those specs are for the desktop 8800gtx....why are you even comparing it? everyone knows desktops are more powerful. and i believe anandtech did tests for SLi vs non SLi and as bwhxeon said, significant gains were visible mostly on very high resolutions. don't really know why this comparison is even taking place. are you just showing off your specs or somethin?

*whoops, just realized my first sentence was same as what narnail said, so credit to him for that.

Let's just stick on topic. Is the Dual 8800 GTX STILL better than one 8800 GTX in lower resolutions such as 1280x1024?

Usually SLI benefits best at higher resolutions. I tried this when I had the 8700m GT SLI. I didn´t see any benefit at all at 1440x900 and lower, but 1680x1050 and up I saw huge benefits in Gears of War, Medal of Honor Airborne, Crysis, Oblivion.

an 8700gt will be sufficient at 1280x1024, an 8800m GTS/GTX would be optimal though, and SLI of any sort would be dumb at this resolution
