With the new notebooks coming out with 8800GTX's, I've been wondering how they'd perform if kept running for 7-8 hours at a stretch .... No one wants to spend $2500 and find out their notebook would overheat and reboot after every 2 hours ....

    Any opinions on this?

don't run it in the middle of a desert when it is 45C. you'll be fine. (we don't have the problem where I live, according to acer it so cold that leaving it outside will damage your laptop. )

NotebookJournal did a temp monitor of the Cyber System SR16 (X7900 2.8Ghz + 8800M GTX) after 5hrs of Benchmarking. It's fine.
