The gpu keeps changing clocks, sometimes its 275/550/300 and than suddently it jumps to 500/1250/800, why does it do this?

If like this i cant overclock because the clocks keeps changing around

Those clock speeds aren't strange at all if we are talking about the mobile 8800gtx. The card will downclock when in 2d mode and go to normal clocks when doing anything that requires it. I believe it was called powermizer, or something like that.

Yes it was powermizer il just disable it, and for the other guy, dont jump to conclusions fast like that if i was a total noob it could be very missleading

it does stop it becaue thanks to powermizer i cant raise my clocks more than 575/1150/455 the bar on rivatuner does not go further...

on ati tool it goes as far as i want, but there i cant clock shader

are thre any other GPU OC tools that suppors Shader clock where i can clock my card unlimited?

If ATI Tool and RivaTuner aren't cutting it for you, you'd have to look into a BIOS overclock, then you can set it at whatever you want (though you need to be more careful when moding a BIOS than you do with a software tool).

you can change the settings in rivatuner to allow higher shader clocks. I remember doing so when I hit 1425mhz limit on my 8600M GT so I fiddled and viola new limit was over 2000.

You can custom clock shader, mem or core. I use Ntune 6.06 since Rivatuner doesn´t see my Extra level of the 8800m GTX where it runs at the highest level of performance.

Rivatuner has always had issues with reading the mobile G92 chips.

I would really go with Nvidia System Tools..
Very easy to use and can create different profiles to keep your GPU in performance or power saver.
Also keep in mind to do some stress test so that you don't burn your GPU.

I was quite impressed with the NST when I tried them. It makes sense, no one can probably make a better tool than the people who make the hardware.

    Agreed!
Also I like the feature to have different profiles so that I can just quickly use what I want.
