    Which of the 8800M GTX and 9700M GTS would produce better gaming performance I'm assuming the 8800M GTX and if so would it be a big difference and would it be powerful enough to run games on 17" native res?

    Also how large is the difference in gaming between these CPU's

    T5750
    T9300
    X9000

    Just wondering because I've 3 seen variations of novatech laptop that all have the 8800M GTX but use these 3 different CPU's and I was previously considering the X300-11S which has a 9700M GTS. Anyone that knows about novatechs build quaility/reliability vs toshiba would be appreciated too xD.

    Thanks =)

    8800m GTX will beat 9700m GTS no question. Can't give you a percentage of how much, but the 8800m GTX is basically the 9800m GT now.

    And those CPU's... it all depends on which games you play. Most newer games you probably wouldn't see much difference at all... there are only a few CPU-limited games around right now. I'd say T5750 would be good enough, but then again, the T9300 is a nice processor for the money and would speed up everyday work a noticeable amount :D

    8800gtx by a wide margin, from what I know the 9700gts is a bit weaker than the 8800gts which is quite a bit weaker than the 8800gtx

    yeah the 9700m gts is a good card but it is definitely not near the performance of the 9800gt/8800gtx. it is the lowest level of the high end cards

    9700m GTS has 48 Shader Processors versus the 8800m GTX 96 Shader Processors, so the 9700m GTS is beaten by a large margin.
