lol does it need overclocking? its an awesome card already, with heat problems aint it, but i spose its always gd to push the limits, if anyone knows how id like to see the results mind

PM Magnus72, as far as I know he used Ntune or Riva tuner.
-
That's like putting Nitrous in a Ferrari. Overkill.

I'm using Ntune and 177.35 on vista 64bit.
haven't done conclusive testing but it allows me to apply and ATI Tool detects the new clocks.
Just don't try and open any other NTUNE tab but GPU clock settings one. Everything else gives me an instant blue screen
If anyone knows how to get it working let me know -
and no my 5793 runs much cooler than major laptops, including those who are using 8400m or 8600m. -
I use Ntune, Rivatuner only detects the 3D clock, though looking in the bios we have four clocks. One is Extra as it is called in nibitor and this is where the real clocks is. So as for now Rivatuner doesn´t support that Extra Vid so to speak, else we would be able to overclock it in Riva.
Ntune works great, however the Shader clock follows the Core clock, no separate clocking of the shaders sadly yet in Ntune. -
Magnus72, does it has to do with the drivers? because ntune never worked on mine. i tried 174.93, 175.70 and 175.75

I use 176.63. Overclocking has worked with every driver I have tried.
