    I'm debating as to whether I really should get a laptop with it since the thing is ridiculously expensive..

    Could someone tell me how it compares to the 8600M GT DDR3 512mb? I know that it'll obviously be much better, but how much? I mean it better be a drastic difference for an extra $1000 or so(since currently it's only in 17" which adds to the price..)

    If possible, can someone who has an 8800M GTX or 8600M GT tell me what settings they can play Crysis, FEAR, or whatever game with 60+ fps average since that would make the differences easy for me to comprehend.

    Drastic difference? YES.
    Worth 1000$. NO.

    The 8800M GTX should play crysis on high,1280 at about 30+ fps,with the right drivers.

    haha well maybe I'll wait till the Alienware m15x comes out and see how much more that is since it'll still be 15" somehow...
