    I've heard the non sli 8800m compares to the sli 7950m. Speculating that the 9600m will be at least launched by fall of 08, how would the 9600m compare to the 8800m? Or would it better compare with the 8700m?

    Well considering that the 9 series hasn't even been released now have specs been released for the desktop model the guess is anybody's.

    But based on the fact that the 7950m is faster then the 8600m, I would imaginethe 9600m will be slower then the 8800m as nvidia will keep the 8800m the king of mobile GPU's for at least a year.

    Unless of course the 9 series will offer some phenomenal performance increases over the 8 series, but no one knows.

    Yeah I'm annoyed too but maybe not to eleron's extent. If you yourself believe that it wil come out fall 08 what makes you think anyone would have any info on the mobile 9 series when we weren't even sure of the 8800m's specs days before its announcement.

    Use moore's law to calculate.
