I have an 880M, and I always monitor the temp. while playing. Thanks to MSI afterburner.

I have noticed that games running on ULTRA on this 880M beast will have a temp. of 80C .

    Games I tried:

    Battlefield 4 (83C)
    Arma 3 (82C)
    Dirt 3 (86C)
    Dirt Showdown (87C)
    The crew beta (83C)

However, looking at dead rising 3 the temp is always 64C  which gets me thinking that the 880M is not fully utilized.

Moreover, I have noticed lots of stutters and lag while turning left or right with the player. The game is not that of graphics hungry but why would the 880M not run at full load?

I tried to change the setting in the Nvidia panel for max performance and auto run with the 880M but nothing changes.

    Any ideas......??

    It's poorly optimized.

What he said. The 10-FPS-during-boss-fights-and-cutscenes is very well-known. Also crapcom believes laptop hardware isn't good enough to run their game (LOL), so they might have actually not coded it to "like" laptop hardware.

And BELIEVE ME, programs can act veryyyy differently just because hardware is a laptop's. I would assume it is difficult as hell to code a game or program to do so, but it can very much be done.
