Thank you, can you post stock results for 3d 11 gpu score?
, also the drivers seem to be the 13.6 right?

Right in line with this: AMD Radeon HD 8970M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-4700MQ,Notebook P15SM

I am starting to think AMD have delayed the release of this card due to the bad scores. Ok from 6990m to 7970m we went from ~3400 points in 3dmark'11 to well over 6000 points. This new card now takes the score to a measly +500 points ~6500 in 3dmark'11.
Quite embarrassing to say the least, heck the 7970m may even go up in price compared to this newer poor scoring card.
I heard figures of +30% with the 780m over the 680m but this 8970m seems to provide little if any substantial 3d margin improvement. -
Obviously just didn't leave much room to move/squeeze extra performance out of before their new architecture comes out.
Honestly, I'm more than okay with these scores. I just want better drivers and less enduro problems. -

I can nearly get that score running an undervolted vBIOS on my 7970m. Should we be worried about AMD?

so this is the worlds fastest mobile gpu?

Does anyone have the 3dmark11 for 770m and 780m?
-
For some reason I don't trust in this guy, this guy was busted posting fake 3DMark11 benchmark for 7970M so don't trust this topic and actually request to remove it, some strange information reported by 3DMark11 for 8970M systems detail which was the same in the previous fake 7970M benchmark.
-
My stock 7970m does a little better.
-
You can easily put a 7970m to 900/1250 on stock voltage and get the same results. Doubt there's really a need for a 8970m benchmark thread when it's just a rebranded 7970m with a higher base clock.
-
we all know 8970 is the same card.
just whats the utilization like? -
-
with enduro enabled? it's still the same?
Sounds wonderful... -

This is a tweaked score with the stock video bios at +135 on the core and 2.6ghz memory.
At similar settings for the 780M it will be scoring around the 8500 region.reborn2003 likes this. -

Still intrigued by that score though, we're seeing something like 100% graphics score scaling from single to CFX, with all 4 graphics tests having almost exactly double the FPS as the single card run. However, your combined test FPS was actually lower for the CFX case? I'm sorry if I sound like a nosy-poker but I'm even more curious now -
I asked myself the same question too
i never understand this score or other like it
I just suppose it's because of the power that isn't enough for CFX (300W)
the same configuration on desktop model will consume about 600W...
however, i think this score is perfect for a P4G
