ive just been playing around with clocks, and ive followed the guide on this site to the letter, but after much 3Dmark06 testing, im seeing no change in clock speeds in GPU-z or riva tuner monitoring tool, even though ive increased the clock speeds in riva tuner. when i click apply the bars remain where i put them, even when i close riva and open it again.
after running 3dmark06 i checked the riva monitor and the gpuz monitor and they both remained at default clocks during the test, but for about 4 seconds after the test they both jumped to the new clocks, and then dropped again.
i tested it with crysis too, same result.
it is certainly set to performance 3d settings.
why is it not increasing during the test or during crysis gaming?
drivers are 181.20
cheers

Hi.
Try Ntune, it made by Nvidia, it works great on my 9200m GS,

nvidia installer keeps freezing my computer whenever it gets close to finishing the install. did it 5 times earlier. its done it every time ive tried to install it on this laptop ever since i bought it. no idea why. nvidia system tools also refuses to install the nTune component.
any other software available? -
Try running the installer in compatibility mode, even with all the extra stuff off while its running, might be worth a shot...
