Looking at a dv3510nr as possible small notebook. How is the 9300M GS 512 IN terms of performance for world of warcraft? The last Mobile GPU i tried was an X1700 and it ran..horribly. So i am a bit out of touch.

999 is alot to spend on a notebook with only a 9300m graphics. the asus g50 is 950.00 and has a gforce 9800 in it. which plays pretty much every game that is out on high except 2 which require medium settings. (GTA and Crysis)

If you're going to spend $999 then go for the ASUS G50Vt-X1 at bestbuy. You'll get a powerful Geforce 9800M GS in a package at $949.99 USD

The 9800M GS is around 3 times more powerful than the 9300M GS.

Right.the general idea though was to Stick to 13 inches and smaller. I had already filled out a FAQ earlier and was not looking for a 15.

then it'll be hard to find one with a better graphics card honestly. :p. you should note though the 9300 gs should be able to run it fine, i can (note, CAN, i dont actually played the game. i installed the trial to see if it could run it) run WoW on my EEE PC with the gma 950 graphics and i get 20 - 25 fps, the 9300 is much better than that. however, you wont probably be able to run it at full settings.

The 9800M GS is around 4.5 times better.

Two 13.3in laptops with GPUs better than 9300Ms are the Dell Studio XPS 13 and LG P310. The latter has a 9600m GT.

and don't forget the older LG P300 which can be found for ~$800 refurbished on ebay.

    P.S. I thought the 9600m version of the P310 wasn't coming state/canada side?
