okay i know these are terribly outdated compared to the other graphics banter on the threads at the moment but im just wondering what you advise?

im leaning towards the 200m as the 950 is in the laptop which is £100 more.

ive read il be able to run cs:s, hl2 etc on a 200m graphics..

    thoughts?

I know for a fact that the 200M will run HL2:Episode 1 so it's a pretty decent card. For the others I don't know about. However I personally would not recommend either if you want to really game.

    thanks for replies

well im not a hardcore gamer, i dont wana spend alot. i jsut like the idea of being able to play when i have a bit of spare time when out and about :)

ive found two laptops (one for £400-£450ish) and another for £550 but the £550 has the intel 950 whihc isnt nearly as good as the other card so go for the cheaper one.

unless anyone else can reccomend another 12inch notebook in my pricerange?

ati 200m is better than the intel 950...
it can run some "impossible" games on quite good settings with good ram but intel 950 can;t...

The 200M is a "mystery." Lol no joke. It can play games that it should never be able to play on low settings mind you but it can still play them! There is a huge huge thread on this forum about what games the 200M can play. Search for it and you'll get your answer. I do even recall the 200M being able to play Doom3 you should really double check this though.

I'm amazed at how you could somehow bring up pokemon in a graphics card discussion... and sickened. SHAME ON YOU!

The 200m has better drivers written for it which equates to better performance most of the time.

sry for the bump but any idea on tweaking 200m?? except the mem and some basics like ocing.. with basic tweaks i raised up to 50fps max on quake 4 except when you go out side which makes it drop to 7 to 10fps..

Best tweak I can say is turn down every game's settings to minimum.. and DON'T try to OC, as it's part of your mobo!
