    9500M GS vs 8600M GT

    How is the 9500M GS compared to the 8600M GT?

    performance wise, probably very similar but i would go with the 9500M GS - newer tech generally and i think more efficient, not too sure on the details, someone else could explain and confirm... if you are comparing it to a 8600M GT DDR2, then the 9500M GS would be the better choice, as it's a better performer with its DDR3.

    I believe the 9500m GS is slightly better than the 8600m GT but not by much.

    They are equal in performance. Both have two versions, DDR2 and GDDR3. The 9500m GS is a die shrink, meaning it should run cooler and use less energy.
